Is the next generation iPad going to be an iPad 3D sporting a three-dimensional display? Rumor does have it, according to RCR Wireless, that the next generation iPad 3 will be indeed fully 3D.
As many have noted in reporting this latest next generation iPad rumor, it shouldn't come as any surprise that Apple would be working to develop a three-dimensional iPad. Whether it's the iPad 3D or a future generation iPad release, it seems all but certain that an iPad 3D is on the way in consideration of the increasing push to use 3D technology."'The fact that the iPad 3 is 3D is a dead cert,' one Hollywood insider close to the big movie studios told RCR, adding that the screen would be the real magic. She went on to say that the big film studios were currently running around like blue arsed flies trying to gear up to release plenty of 3D content in time for Apple’s next launch.Meanwhile, in case some doubt Hollywood’s gossip as mere fairy tales, the story has been given extra credence by Apple manufacturer Foxconn, over in Taiwan.Known to be leakier than a holy bucket, Foxconn – or Hon Hai manufacturing as it's known in Taiwan – has already spilled the 3D iPad beans to several of our close industry sources."
With that said, let's remember that Apple typically is conservative in adopting new technology. In fact, in the past, Apple has not released product taking advantage of new technology simply to ensure that they have nailed the consumer experience before the finished product is brought to market.
Is it possible we could see a next generation iPad 3D? Sure. However, if history is any indicator, the iPad 3 will not be 3D or will merely have some 3D capabilities. Or, Apple has been, as they were with the original iPad, working behind closed doors, feel like they've perfected integrating 3D technology, and plan to "wow" the consumer once again with another "magical" user experience.
