Samsung Droid Charge - A New Verizon 4G LTE Smartphone


PocketNow is reporting that the Samsung Droid Charge will be the actual market name of what was originally referred to under the codename - Samsung Stealth-V (model number: SCH-i510). As it only stands to reason from this point moving forward, the new Samsung Droid Charge, along with any other major Verizon smartphone releases, will be equipped to run on the new Verizon 4G LTE network.

If you're itching to upgrade to a new Verizon Droid smartphone, the Samsung Droid Charge release date is not yet known at this point.  However, BGR is speculating, based on technology news floating around the blogosphere, that the month of April may in fact bring the Samsung Droid Charge launch date.  We'll continue to keep you updated as more Samsung Droid Charge rumors come to light!

Samsung Droid ChargeIn the meantime, rumors point towards the specs on the Samsung Droid Charge being similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy S, but will come to market with a larger screen (4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus display), powered by a 1GHz Hummingbird processor, and running Google's Android 2.2 operating system.

BGR is also reporting that the Samsung Droid Charge will be sporting these additional features:
  • An 8 megapixel rear-facing camera / 720p video recording capabilities
  • A 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera
  • LTE / CDMA radios for wireless connectivity
  • Wi-Fi b/g/n
  • Bluetooth
  • aGPS
  • HDMI-out
